"The concert's most engaging piece was the premiere of "Dancing With My Father," a contemplative, gesture-driven solo danced by Jannetti, in which all of his movement impulses seemed to come from a heartfelt, deep, inner place and sparked short phrases of intimate, personalized dancing. Another choreographer might have let his physicality explore and athletically expand the kinetics of his impulses, but Jannetti chose to remain in the quiet, internal realm, and we were happy to stay there with him-in this kind of private piece."
